Arenal D’en Castell Beach
Another one to make the list of Menorca’s best beaches. Warm crystal clear waters, shallow slopes and fine white sand make this perfect for everyone in the family.
You can find loungers, umbrellas, pedalo’s and even kayaks to hire to keep you entertained throughout the day. But if that’s not you’re cup of tea, the rocky edges of the beach are perfect for snokerling.

Nestled in a bay on the southern coast, Cala en Porter presents a golden sandy white beach surrounded by cliffs. A natural protection from the wind making for an enjoyable beach for young families.
The local facilities nearby also make for a great choice for families and you can also find small boats available for hire, as well as Kayaks and Paddle boards to keep everyone entertained.
In the area you’ll also find a unique experience, the Cova d’en Xoroi club – a club nestled into the mountains where you can enjoy evening drinks with a beautiful sunset in the background.

Son Bou
We had to start with Menorca’s longest beach, which is Son Bou. Located on the south coast of the island, the Son Bou beach stretches for over two kilometres. Featuring fine white sand and relatively shallow waters, makes Son Bou it a family-friendly beach with plenty of space so you’ll never be jostling for space.
However, because of it’s length it can be quite open to strong winds if there are any. But, you can also find a few water sports to keep you entertained if you have to entertain older child, or adults trying to relive their youth.
Santo Tomas
Santo Tomas beach is split into two by a rocky segment. If looking out to sea, the right, towards the beach restaurant Es Bruc is a lot more open and extends towards Binigaus and Cala Galdana – also be warned the nudist beach here.
Towards the left if facing the sea (the East) has a contained promenade and subsequent wooden walk ways through the dunes onto the beach, which is like many beaches in Menorca, a beautiful golden affair. On the Santo Tomas beach you can also rent Kayaks, Pedalos and Paddleboards. However, the currents can get quite strong and if the weather isn’t great it can get unsafe for younger child so be careful.

Sa Mesquida
If you’re heading north after landing at Mahon airport, then Sa Mesquida is one the first Menorcan beach you will come across.
A quieter beach but beautiful nevertheless, a perfect beach to visit in Menorca in the peak summer months of July and August when you have the hottest weather in menorca.
Son Parc
Another popular beach in Menorca due to its shallow waters and fine golden sand. With lifeguards and water sports on offer in Son Pac, such as pedalos and kayaks it can get busy.
However, sat within a protective bay giving natural protection from any strong winds and waves. And a couple of beachside bars at the western and eastern ends of the beach respectively provide a welcome backdrop. Not to forget a free car park at the western end including additional toilets.
Accommodation around Son Parc can be found here.
Notable mentions of Menorca best beaches:
Binibeca
Binibeca or known by locals as Binibequer provides another great Menorcan beach offering. The coastline of Binibeca stretches from Cala Torret to Binibequer Vell and has numerous inlets and small sheltered coves great for swimming. However, the beach at Cala de Binibcea is the most popular due to its calm water and beautiful white sand.

Cala en Bosch
Cala en Bosch or alternatively known as Cala’n Bosch is one of the most westerly points of Menorca. Relatively rocky in nature but quite large considering, you can find good facilities and water sports to keep you enterained.
Head for Platja de Son Xoriguer a little further along if you want to explore some water sports.
