  • Sunsets will be best during the months of June, July and August in Menorca. The low season when the weather in Menorca isn’t so great will mean increased chances of cloud, spoiling your view
  • The North of the island, resorts such as Fornells, aren’t great for sunsets. Namely because the island will restricting your view
  • The sunsets in Menorca are best viewed from around 19:30 to 22:00pm.
  • Ideal spots for sunsets include Menorca beaches and bars/restaurants between the south and west of the island and locations of height.

Where Is The Best Menorca Sunset?

There are various spots around Menorca to view the magnificent sunset, the summer months being particularly beautiful. Expect glowing red sunsets, with purples and orange colours lighting up the sky with the contract of the rolling hills or deep blue Mediterranean sea.

Castell de Sant Nicolau

Starting at the far west of the island. Castell de Sant Nicolau on the tip of the Ciutadella harbour can provide the setting for some of spectacular Menorcan sunsets.

Artrutx Lighthouse

Heading south from Castell de Sant Nicolau and Ciutadella will bring you to the south westerly tip of Menorca. Here you will find the coastal resort of Cala en Bosc and the Artrutx Lighthouse.

Conveniently located a stones throw from Artrutx lighthouse is the Artrutx Sea Club. Here you can enjoy a nice meal and glass of wine whilst witnessing one of the best sunset views in Menorca.

Mount Toro (El Toro)

Naturally, the highest point on the island of Menorca, Mount Toro is a beautiful location for sunsets. You won’t be tremendously high, but nevertheless looking down on the coastal resorts and ocean in the distance make for a great setting.

Son Bou

The widest beach on Menorca couldn’t be missed from our list. Unfortunately the views in resort are slightly blocked by buildings and shrubbery. However, if you head to the beach then the Son Bou sunsets are magnificent.

Located on the south of the island with easy access from just outside of Alaior. If you’re heading to Son Bou beach to witness, then you can use the location here.

Santo Tomas

The final Menorca destination to spot the amazing sunsets Menorca has to offer is the small coastal resort of Santo Tomas. Found just next door to Son Bou and again, on the south of the island here the views are beautiful.

We would recommend heading to the Es Bruc restaurant to witness the views, a perfect location for great food and a glass of wine as the day comes to a close.
