Cala n Forcat Menorca Resort Guide – Everything You Need To Know

Cala n Forcat Menorca is another vibrant coastal resort that seamlessly blends into the neighbouring resort resorts of Cala Blanes. Albeit sometimes referred to as Los Delfines.

Cala'n Forcat Menorca

Cala n Forcat Overview

Often referred to as Cala n Forcat, Cala’n Forcat, Cala en Forcat. But also known as Los Delfines which can be used to collectively describe the resorts of Cala’n Forcat, Cala’n Blanes and Cala’n Brut.

Located on the far west of the island, Cala n Forcat Menorca can be found just further west of the second city of Ciutadella. With plenty of accommodation, rocky coves and inlets and intimate sandy beaches to explore.

Being close enough to the city of Ciutadella and relatively close to the main Me-1 central motorway road provides a convenient way to explore Menorca to its full potential.

Cala’n Forcat Menorca has limited beaches and those that can be reached are often difficult to reach. Primarily due to Cala’n Forcat sitting on top of the cliffs.

Cala n Forcat Beaches

The beaches in Cala n Forcat are primarily dominated by small, rocky inlets. Somewhat different to the some of the best beaches in Menorca. However, these make for great areas to snorkel and because of their small size can make for a quieter afternoon.

Platja de Cales Piques to the north west of Cala n Forcat is the first rocky inlet. Relatively tricky to get to and probably ill-advised for those with walking difficulties. However once there, a small beach hut serves up cocktails, snacks, little treats as well as a toilet – very helpful. There are also quite a few sunbeds with the ground being quite stony, these sunbeds do come in handy. A beautiful area for sunsets, but we recommend stay on top of the cliffs.

Cala'n Forcat Beaches Menorca

Alternatively, another great beach is the Cala en Forcat beach. Similarly to the Cales Piques beach, it’s a somewhat rocky inlet. Similar in size and again not ideal for those with walking difficulties. There are no facilities nearby either which is worth bearing in mind. However, quiet, peaceful but also exciting with a few higher platforms to jump into the sea from.

Cala en Brut and Cala’n Brothers within the area of Cala’n Forcat and Cala Blanes both provide opportunities to get into the sea and explore. Similarly, these aren’t the easiest to reach on foot. But once you’re there, provide areas to jump in, relax and stay refreshed in the Mediterranean. These are not white sandy beaches.

The nearest large, white sandy beach to Cala n Forcat is Platja Cala en Blanes. Approximately a 20 minute walk from the centre of Cala n Forcat, heading back towards Ciutadella to the east.

Cala n Forcat Amenities

With the popularity of Cala’n Forcat amongst tourists there are plenty of amenities in the resort. From ATMs, Tabaconist, Supermarkets, Souvenir shops, Pharmacies and more.

However, its firstly quite important to know of any medical centres in the resorts. We have our in-depth Menorca Healthcare Guide here, but the nearest medical centre is Cala’n Forcat Juaneda.
