The Ultimate Guide To Punta Prima Menorca – Explained

Found in the southeast corner, Punta Prima Menorca is a very popular and beautiful destination on the island to visit. Whether a day for visiting and exploring or a lazy beach day, Punta Prima is fantastic.

Punta Prima Menorca

A beautifully wide and deep beach provides plenty of space for families to explore. Punta Prima resort offers a great location to visit nearby towns and resorts such as Mahon, Binibeca, Sant Lluis, S’Algar and more.

Punta Prima provides plenty of accommodation from beautiful hotels, self catering private villas and apartments to choose from, and only a short ride from the capital city of Mahon.

Below we’ve provided additional information on everything you to know about Punta Prima Menorca.

Punta Prima Beach

A gorgeous, golden sandy wide and slopped beach provides a great day out for all. Popular with families due to the large variety of accommodation within the resort, but also with lifeguards on duty and the ease of access thanks to the main road running adjacent to the beach of Punta Prima.

For those with a bit of adventure, snookering spots are primarily to the right hand side of the Punta Prima beach – if you’re looking out to sea. Here you’ll find a small rocky area where fish look for protection against predators. Just stick to this area when the waters are calmer and less wind.

Conveniently located you’ll also Bueno Bonito Básico, a trendy beach bar looking out to the Punta Prima bay serving up traditional Menorcan treats, drinks and snacks whilst you can watch the world go by. You’ll also find Restaurant Aire and Sargantana Asador in similarly beach side locations. Not forgetting the odd souvenir store and supermarket.

The blue flag beach – for it’s cleanliness, makes an ideal spot to relax by laying a towel or beach mat directly onto the sand. But for those who prefer a sun lounger, prices for the day are just shy of €20 per sun lounger. Or, cheaper after around 15:00.

Punta Prima Amenities

Being a resort primarily aimed for tourist, there are plenty of amenities and services in Punta Prima.

We have our full guide on Menorca Supermarkets, but Punta Prima provides a few, Supermercado Punta Prima and Supermercado Ultimo Grito, both found on the Passeig de s’Arenal road next to the beach and opposite the restaurant beach bar Básico. At both supermarkets you can expect to find typically souvenirs and inflatables as well as fresh fruit and vegetables and everything you should need.

However, for larger shops we would recommend heading to the supermarkets of Sant Lluis, the inland town not too far away. Here you can find a variety of larger supermarkets with cheaper prices and greater selection.

There are plenty of other souvenirs shops dotted around such as M y C Menorca Shop and Souvenirs Punta Prima (on the beach promenade road) for example.
