You might be staying at a beautiful and one of the best hotels in Menorca that provide all the cuisine you’ll ever need. However, there will be a few of you who may not want to eat in your hotel every day. Or, there will be plenty of those visiting Menorca staying in a self-catering apartment, villa, B&B or even a half board hotel and need a delicious lunch.
With that in mind, it would be foolish not to look into and point you towards our best restaurants Menorca list. Luckily, we’ve got you covered with at least one restaurant in the north, east, south and west of Menorca.
Ca Na Pilar

Found just inland from the coastal resort Santo Tomas in the town of Es Migjorn Gran. Ca Na Pilar is unassumingly set in a traditional Menorca house over 200 years of age, you would miss it if you didn’t know it was there.
Serving up traditional and regional dishes from Menorca and further afield, all with a contemporary twist. Think suckling pig, beautiful scallops, prawn carpaccio and more.
Typically open for a short lunch window of 13:00 – 14:30 and evenings from 20:00 – 22:00.

Es Cranc

Nestled in the north of the island in the rocky coastal resort of Fornells, Es Cranc is tucked into the whitewashed walls serving up beautiful and silky Lobster soup (Caldereta de Langosta), stews, paellas all in a rustic Menorcan vibe.
If you visit Es Cranc, fish is the order of the day. Either inside, or al fresco dining on foot path in which you can soak up the atmosphere.
Typically open for lunch, around 13:00 – 17:30. And then again for the evening service 20:00 – 00:00.

Godai

You might not expect to find a Japanese restaurant in Menorca. However this Japanese-Menorcan infusion surprises, yet delights. Found in the Suites del Lago hotel (Lago Resort Menorca), which has been mentioned on our best hotels in Menorca guide as well as our adults only Menorca hotels guide.
Here you can expect beautiful Nigiri, elegant Gyozas, seared black Cod and more. Not to mention the option of an exquisite tasting menu.

Mon Restaurant

Mon Restaurant is situated in the second city of Menorca, Ciutadella. Airy, spacious and modern. Slightly different from some of the more rustic restaurants on our list.
Focussing on Menorcan and Balearic cuisine tinged with hints of Arab, French and English influences. Aiming for some of the freshest ingredients, vegetables and cattle from nearby farms and fresh fish of the day. Either through your traditional A la Carte dining, or, the tasting menu.
Hours of Mon Restaurant Ciutadella vary. However, evenings are around 19:00 – 00:00. Lunch typically Thursday and Friday only, from around 13:00 – 15:00.

Santa Mariana

Santa Mariana Menorca resides away from the hustle and bustle of coastal resorts or the larger cities. Located in the Alaior district, but very much the countryside.
Santa Mariana is a beautiful Menorcan-style country house converted into a small rural hotel. Serving rather unique cuisine influence by France, Spain, the Mediterranean and brought together with Asian touches. Dishes such as Blue fin tuna tataki, Terrine of lamb and Carpaccio of Menorcan coast prawns.
Rearing their own chickens and sheep in the estate as well as other fresh ingredients to tempt you.

Smoix

Smoix is another excellent restaurant located in the heart of Ciutadella, an ex jewellery factory workshop nestled in the old town.
Smoix serves up organic and seasonal based dishes, utilising Menorca’s beautiful produce. Plates such as baked suckling pig, fish marinated in lime and fish of the day all served up in exquisite fashion.
Smoix are currently closed Mondays. Lunchtime 13:00 – 15:00 and evening from 20:00 – 22:30.

Torralbenc

Last but by no means least on our best restaurants in Menorca list we bring you Torralbenc. Arguably one of the most expensive restaurants on the island of Menorca, along with Godai featuring earlier on our list. Set in the Cala en Porter countryside, beautiful vineyards and a quaint farmhouse setting.
A small and simple, yet effective menu brings together Menorcan and Mediterranean flavours with Basque influences. Focusing on local homegrown products from their land such as wines, olive oil, vegetables and eggs serving a range of dishes from grilled garden vegetables, Menorcan red prawns and grilled Octopus.
The current hours of Torralbenc Menorca at lunch are 13:00 – 15:15 and evening 19:30 – 22:30.
