Just a short drive from Fornells, Es Mercadal and to the west of popular beach resort Arenal d’en Castell. Unlike many of the busier resorts on Menorca’s south coast, Son Parc has retained a calm, laid-back atmosphere, making it an ideal choice for families, couples, and anyone seeking a slower pace of holiday life. Everything in the resort is easy to reach so that you can stroll from your accommodation to the beach, supermarket, or local restaurant without much effort.

Son Parc Beach
The beach at the resort of Son Parc, officially called Arenal de Son Saura, is one of the resort’s main highlights.
With soft golden sand, plenty of space to spread out, two beachside restaurants, and calm, shallow waters, it’s a fantastic choice for families and anyone who wants a relaxing day by the sea. If the beach is at the top of your holiday wish list, the resort of Son Parc won’t disappoint.
On the eastern side, the water shelves gently with small sandbanks that rise and fall between about 12 inches and 2 feet, and this shallow pattern continues for roughly 50 metres out to sea.
On the bay’s far western side, the water deepens quickly, so parents should be cautious. For added reassurance, the beach is lifeguarded throughout the summer months. Behind the sand, you’ll find a large, stony car park—take care if you’re driving a hire car.
Two beach bars serve refreshments, and sun loungers with umbrellas are available for around €20 for a package of two loungers and an umbrella, with affordable rates after 3 PM.

However, one market that’s definitely worth visiting is arguably the largest market on the island, the night market of Es Mercadal. A relatively newer restaurant with a much smaller menu than most. However serving up delightful treats that many seem to love. Beautiful starters from featuring tostadas, tomatoes and aubergines, to mains of Iberico ham, chicken to more international favourites such as juicy burgers.
