Cala n Bosch Overview
A popular resort with plenty of great spaces to enjoy, a large open and wide sandy beach with shallow waters, a bustling port and marina in which to explore one of the many restaurants, to even some of the more high end hospitality venues.
Just a short bus trip away from the large city of Ciutadella in which you can explore in your own time. Or, enjoy one of the many accommodation options from private villas, high end hotels and boutique options, to more budget and family friendly options.
Cala n Bosch may also be seen as Cala en Bosch or Cala’n Bosch, and the resort also seamlessly flows into the neighbouring resorts of Son Xoriguer on one side and Cap d’Artrutx on the other.
Cala’n Bosch Beaches
The Cala n Bosch beach, or Playa Cala’n Bosch and Son Xoriguer beach, or Platja de Son Xoriguer, both have their own beach.
However like most holiday resorts in Menorca, Cala n Bosch is no different. The Son Xoriguer beach has it’s golden fine white sand, crystal clear blue seas and shallow waters. So you can understand why the resort is a popular one. Surrounded by rocky terrain which create a natural protection from stronger waves and currents.
At Platja de Son Xoriguer you can find plenty of water sports for the more adventurous. Expect Paddle boarding, Kayaks and Pedalo’s all available to hire.
Looking back inland from Son Xoriguer beach you have a few options to the right side (or at the East end) for food and drink. Such as; Neo Mediterranean Ideas; Ciao Belli; Ti Amo – Sapori Italiani; Restaurante Neptuno and Dulcinea, which all come relatively well reviewed.
The Cala n Bosch beach is a lot smaller. Within a small inlet which provides great protection. Making this the ideal beach for smaller children and great for snorkelling around the rocky edges surrounding the cove, accompanied by calm, gentle waters.
Although there aren’t many food and drink options on the Cala n Bosch beaches doorstep, you do have Socaire Snack Bar. Although unfortunately many recent reviews indicate high prices and poor service. Therefore you may be better off taking a packed lunch. Or, heading slightly further back from the beach to Bar Latibule or Pizzikame for example.
For the more adventurous, diving is another great option in and around the Menorcan island. We have a full Menorca scuba diving guide here, however Bluewater Scuba in Cala’ Bosch are a great option and you can head over to their website for more information on pricing and diving options http://www.bluewaterscuba.co.uk.
